The Association's Facilities
The Association is part of a two story building in downtown Canmore. Our main floor consists of two halls. The larger hall is called “Creekside Hall” and opens to a deck and a landscaped garden adjoining Policemans creek. The small hall also referred to as the “Townside Hall” has a furnished drop-in lounge and an adjoining office.
There is also a kitchen area with a warming oven and a refridgerator but no cooking facilities.
The office is staffed by CSA members and is open on week days from 10am until noon and from 1pm to 2pm.
Membership
Membership in the Association is open to all seniors 55 years and older. Persons younger than 55 can join with board approval. Membership is $20 per year per person. Visit our office for a membership application. Currently we are over 600 members strong.
Communications
Activities and functions and other information is publicized on a bulletin board at the centre, in a weekly newspaper column (complements of the Canmore Leader) and by eMail.
Message from President
This is a dynamic time for the CSA. The membership has reached past the 600 mark. With more seniors moving to Canmore we are an increasingly diverse group. It has been a time of change with new programs developing and othes discontinued. On behalf of the CSA Board of Directors I encourage old and new members to participate in the future planning of our organanizalion.
