The Association's Facilities

The Association has about half of a two story building in downtown Canmore. The main floor consists of two halls. The larger hall is called “Creekside Hall” and opens to a large deck and a large landscaped garden adjoining Policemans creek. The small hall also referred to as the Drop-in Centre, has a kitchen, a furnished drop-in lounge and an adjoining office.
The office is staffed open every morning from 10 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 3pm in the afternoons. The lounge is open during those hours daily.

Membership

Membership in the Association is open to all seniors 55 years and older. People younger than 55 can join with board approval. Membership only costs $20 per year per person. Visit our office for a membership application or download Membership Form. Currently we have over 500 members.

Communications

Activities and functions and other information is publicized on a bulletin board at the Drop-In centre and in a weekly newspaper column, complements of the Canmore Leader, a local newspaper. This news column is also available from this web site.

Message from President

The Canmore Seniors Association is a vibrant social organization open to all seniors interested in joining. At present we have over 500 paid up members.  The social activities, tea hostesses, office staff, games are all manned by volunteers and what a great group they are. This year, because of the request to keep the office open during weekdays, we have a greater number of working volunteers. This makes for a closer knit organization and allows members old and new to meet more members and forge new friendships.
