MEANDERTHAL A/B/C/D COORDINATOR GUIDELINES

The aim is to provide sufficient number of hikes so that all Meanderthals have access to a hike at their level.
Guidelines:
Find leaders to lead hikes.  Note that:
Two hikes per level should be listed on the master board at least two weeks in advance, and preferably before the beginning of the month.
Sign-up sheets for two hikes per level should be posted by noon the Thursday prior to the hike. Make further adjustments for that week, if needed (i.e. more hikes, splitting, etc) as soon a possible.
Confirm that leaders are aware of the Leader Guidelines and the Meanderthal Hiking Protocol.
Monitor numbers and add or reduce hikes for subsequent weeks  accordingly. This could involve splitting hikes where possible, or adding new hikes. If hikes are full one week, for example, another hike should be added the following week and posted before noon on Thursday. For popular hikes, coordinators may wish to run the same hike the following week, with a different leader.
Another alternative would be to find another Leader and list a new hike in the space provided at the bottom of that week’s list.
A list of some previous hikes is posted on the notice board. A list of individuals who have lead hikes in the past is available also.
